I discovered Blue at a career fair as a sophomore at IU Bloomington – Mark Wischmeier was engaging, a fellow Hoosier, and overall convinced me to interview for a summer internship. My first summer internship went well and I stuck around for a second summer internship as I worked on my MBA. The Carmel office felt like family.
I accepted a full-time position as an audit staff in the Carmel office in 2010 upon graduation and never left! After spending my career here, and working towards the director path for several years, it means so much to have arrived at this new part of my journey. In some ways, nothing has changed. In other ways, I am learning every single day!
Over the years, directors across the firm have emphasized we’re all members of a team – we aren’t alone and can lean on each other every step of the way. I have really felt that over the last six months as I settle into my new role. I feel supported and I feel welcomed. This gives me a lot of comfort and I’m confident my efforts leading up to this point were worth it.
I’m excited to be part of the director group and am specifically excited to be involved in decisions that will keep our firm thriving so we have opportunities to grow new leaders while continuing to serve our clients.
