Blue & Co. Named a Best Place to Work in Kentucky for 14th Year

Blue & Co. is proud to announce that we have been named as one of Kentucky's Best Places to Work for 2025. This makes Blue's 14th year of recognition for fostering a culture that make employees proud to be part of our team.

While we receive feedback from our employees' surveys to ensure that we are doing everything we can to improve, we also received answers to "What is your favorite Blue moment?" that we are excited to share. Here are our favorites.

"Definitely have a ton of great memories at Blue, but I think some of my favorites are the Louisville Healthcare office spring trips to Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. It gives the folks in our office an opportunity to come together as more than just coworkers and celebrate one of the great Kentucky traditions of horse racing. "I suddenly developed a mysterious physical disability in 2019, and Blue has been absolutely amazing at working with me all along the way, including allowing me the time to pursue various specialists and potential treatments to see if I could even return to work at all. Since then, they have accommodated any new limitations, including caps on hours (even during tax season) which is critical! My favorite Blue moment isn’t a single moment, but rather every time my directors prove through their actions that it’s actually important to them that we take care of ourselves first." - Bobbie Arebalo, Lexington, KY

"While reflecting on my nearly six years with Blue & Co., many “favorite” moments come to mind. However, one recent moment sticks out to me. In March, during the one of the peaks in the tax busy season, a recently retired director, Kent Pleasants, passed away unexpectedly. To say that this shocked and saddened the Lexington office is an understatement.

Kent’s family hosted a celebration of life for him after a privately held funeral. It says a lot that several Blue Alumni and current staff members were in attendance. Not to mention the many, many members of the community that were in attendance. Kent was one of the reasons I joined the Lexington Blue team, having met him at a social event before I ever considered applying for a position.
